Checkup.

Yesterday we went for a checkup, just because we're going to the states next Friday (already!)... the purpose of the trip is to get as much baby stuff possible... i've been reviewing online products, so actually testing them to figure out what's best is next. Then Amy will help ship them back which is super helpful.

so anyhow, apparently we've gained like 6lbs in the past month!! that's a lot! it seems, so total of about 15lbs now since you were just a tiny egg back in February. the books say we're supposed to gain a pound a week now, so with ~16 weeks to go, that means we'll end up a little over the 30lb mark. hopefully though it will be around 28 since dr. tsai says i should eat less carbs... more veggies. yesterday was 24w + 0 days. your head measured 21w + 2 days (small) but then your leg measured 23w+5days! so that means you're tall. :) i hope you will be... about 5'8" when you grow up!! i hope you will be lots of good things... but first, happy and healthy, and beautiful. :) i was really happy though, to hear dr say you were tall. exciting!!

so maybe you'll be a little later, perhaps later in november... around thanksgiving. of course we would be very thankful regardless of what day you decide to meet us.

buttons schmuttons.

i must unbutton the top two buttons (of 4) when sitting down in my size 27 madewell bf jeans.

things are going well... we haven't made our next appt to see the dr again since the 6th, but probably need to go either tmrw or early next week. I believe the glucose test is coming up too... i hope you are doing okay in there little baby!! Work for me has unfortunately been stressful, and business is not seemingly going in a good position (at the moment). It seems that things are slowly breaking down, and it's tough b/c it's difficult to manage. frustration and irritation, but hopefully you realize how to cope, and it's really part of life, these "fun" things... i hope you're okay though!! remember, be tough, stay strong... everything will pass and we just need to keep our heads above the water to higher ground. :)

think positive, stay happy, stay healthy and smile. oh. and breathe (well, maybe for you that last part is for later). :)

Exciting!

Yesterday we went for your "detailed scan". It's to make sure all your organs are developing properly, checking 10 fingers and 10 toes, and all this other fun stuff. But most importantly- if you're a boy or girl!!!

Well, based on yday's review, looks like you are going to be a SHE. Dr has called and everything looks good. You are about 20weeks + 3 days now, according to the photos from scanning. :) Michael is super excited about you being a girl and I just want you to be healthy!! (But no dolls, ok?)

You are moving more now, and I hope you're enjoying your home... Swimming around and such... Growing and growing everyday. :)

We love you.

ahhh i need to get better at this.

it's been over a month and a half! horrible i know. sorry!!
so much has happened.

June was a rough one for me- mostly b/c of work... thank goodness june is over and now hopefully july gets better!! One good thing that did work out in june was, was that M and I got to go back to Phuket... staying at Twin Palms for 6 nights for free!! it was a good trip. we went canoeing, elephant riding, and just got to relax a bit. Well deserved too, i'd say. We hadn't really been on vacation for awhile, so it was nice. We are thankful for working for family and having that flexibility. :)

Earlier in the month though, M went to taiwan- 6/12-14. Around 6/15-18, i had some super emotions... hyper sensitivity and just out there. cause? his tw trip. the funny thing is, i can totally know i am over reacting and it's due to hormones (blame it on the hormones) but you still can't control it. strange, but yah. thank goodness that bit is over...

Phuket was 6/21-27. :)

on 6/30, that was an exciting day too!! in the morning i was laying in bed and i felt this little hard thing... about the size of a walnut, then it went away, moved to another spot... M got to feel it too! so exciting...

we can't wait for next Monday either... we go in for a detailed scan and will finally find out if you are a little he or she!! :)

yay!! keep growing, be healthy and happy. We love you!

***Dad's comment***
Here are the reasons why Butterboom should give me and my wife the 2 tickets:
1.My wife is incredibly beautiful(both inside and out). Her radiance will brighten up the room and will make everything around look much better. Which means you will be doing jaeger and mandarin O. A favor.
2.Life is short and whenever I get a chance to do something fun with my wife and see her smile , I jump on it.
3.My wife is carrying my child so Butterboom will be feeding 3 people in the price of 2. Now that’s what I call a bargain. Ain’t that what butterboom is all about?
Peace, love, and may the joyful souls win.M

week 14

so i realize we're not very good at maintaining a blog... will try better now. :)

last night i finished "girlfriends guide (to pregnancy)". either i have a very vivid imagination or i shouldn't read any more pregnancy books! they are just very descriptive-- i actually had a dream last night that my water broke. not very fun, nor exciting. i cant' imagine. though perhaps it'll happen, according to %, 50% of women have their water break. haha. 1 in 2. i guess we'll see!

but the days are getting closer... week by week. some mornings i feel more pregnant than others, and by the evenings though, it's definitely noticable. i think it's just b/c the sheer amount of food i eat. i've been trying to eat enough protein, and vary the types of protein. i probably could eat more fish though. lately i'ts consisted of super yummy burgers, from steakhouse, and this other burger place we tried... oh i can't remember the name. apparently preggo ladies have amnesia or short term memory.

last monday we actually did a photoshoot too! wow, talk about noticable and thank goodness for photoshop! i think that will be the last photoshoot for a good while. we will leave that to the pros ;) but was still fun and was nice that daddy let me have some fun. i hope he is happy with the photos at least.... (i'm not sure if he would tell me if he weren't?! what a nice daddy you're going to have). :)

i will try to eat diff proteins for you... i just want you to be happy and healthy.

we go back to the dr in 3 weeks, that'll make it week 16-17... perhaps we'll get a nice surprise and you'll let us see if you're a boy or girl by then too. we are thinking of names, hopefully something the kids won't tease you about when you grow up. :)

though you're going to be so wonderful and blessed. i just know it.
